The Vagina Monologues

On Valentine's Day of 2000, I was very proud to perform in The Vagina Monologues at the Old Vic Theater in London. The Vagina Monologues is an award-winning play by Eve Esler, which celebrates women's' sexuality and strength, and exposes the violations that women endure throughout the world.

Eve also began V-Day, a non-profit corporation that distributes funds to grassroots, national, and international organizations and programs that work to stop violence against women and girls. A few weeks ago I attended the V-day Celebrations here in Los Angeles. Eve is currently trying to raise money to finish the amazing documentary that we saw. The work that Eve has done since starting the Vagina Monologues and V-day is so incredibly important-it has given power to women all over the world.
