Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids

While Antonio and I were in New York last year we got a chance to really see how the theater community gives back. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids is one of those amazing organizations dedicated to making a difference. It is a theater based, non-profit charity to help those afflicted with Aids, HIV and related illnesses. They have a fabulous system where they give grants to community based AIDS service organizations across the country. They also help entertainment industry professionals and performing artists who are dealing with a variety of problems.

This past Christmas Broadway Cares put out a CD entitled "Carol's for a Cure". Antonio sang "Los Peces en El Rio" with the girls from "NINE". The song is so beautiful. In fact the CD is not your typical Christmas CD. It is for sale in the online store under compact discs along with many other great gifts. The proceeds benefit Broadway Cares.
