Melanie will be receiving a tribute at this year's Cannes Film Festival. On Saturday, May 19th, she will be the guest of honor at a screening of her hit film Working Girl. After the screening, there will be a dinner, where she will be honored with a special festival award.

Over the years Melanie has had five films screened at the Cannes Film Festival: Hagan, Something Wild, The Milagro Beanfield War, A Stranger Among Us and Cecil B. Demented.
