Hello All,
Recently I participated in a benefit for
Gaiam Yoga for Life, a non-profit organization working
to bring the mind-body benefits of yoga to children
in inner city schools. To me, introducing yoga into
schools is such a simple and practical idea. It can
be a perfect tool for children to learn patience and
strength, which are two qualities invaluable to life.
We are never too young to learn or relearn
the virtues of strength and patience. Yoga can help
people of all ages accomplish that. Although there are
many different variations of Yoga, the basic premise
behind it is finding peace and relaxation within yourself.
There are so many benefits to yoga, including improving
fitness, flexibility and concentration. Yoga has helped
me to find and focus on my inner peace. It has brought
me a great amount of patience and serenity, especially
as I find my way through recovery. I encourage you to
check in your community for a yoga center.
